A GREAT BRITISH PUB
serving good honest food and drink in warm welcoming surroundings

ABOUT THE CORNISH ARMS

The Cornish Arms is a thriving British pub in the ancient stannary town of Tavistock, right on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park.

Unpretentious food that delivers bags of flavor and great hospitality are the hallmarks of the business. John, Emma and the team strive to create the type of experience they would want to enjoy themselves. Great food, beer and wine, the best seasonal ingredients from amazing suppliers and a warm welcome for everyone.

Since opening in 2013 the pub has won numerous awards and has firmly established itself as a quality destination with beautiful bedrooms to match. The pub has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand since 2014 and has been listed in the Top 50 Gastropubs for the last 12 years, currently sitting at number 9 in the list. This year John was also winner of the Top 50 chef of the year award.
The area is rich in history and once you have exhausted exploring the town itself then Tavistock provides easy access to both the moors and the Devon coast. Top local attractions include Buckland Abbey, Cotehele and Morewellham Quay and the Eden project is just an hour’s drive. Of course The Dartmoor National Park https://www.dartmoor.gov.uk has a wealth of opportunities for outdoor activities with arguably some of the best moorland walking in the country.
